Kingsbridge - a natural hub for exploring South Devon

Explore the lovely South Devon Coast when you stay in Kingsbridge. The town is set in a series of rias, or flooded valleys, which makes it very unique. The Kingsbridge Estuary is both a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Local Nature Reserve. Kingsbridge lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty making it easy to explore a choice of beaches, coves, creeks and miles of coastal paths. The town itself holds an accreditation as the first Walkers Are Welcome town in Devon. Kingsbridge holds a Music Festival in June and Fair Week in July, making these excellent times to visit the town. Kingsbridge features a museum dedicated to chemist William Cookworthy, who was born in the town in 1705. Those that want to explore the beauty of Devon can do so easily from Kingsbridge.
