Bamburgh has a wide array of attractions include many tea rooms and the Grace Darling Museum. Its most famous attractions though is Bamburgh Castle, which was a Royal Centre by 547 A.D. though the rocky outcrop has been occupied as far back as the prehistoric period. The current castle that stands is a more recent structure though, which was built by the famous industrialist 1st Lord Armstrong during the late Victorian era.
