Arundel - a picturesque and historic town in West Sussex

Arundel is a picturesque town with a long history and many great historical attractions. The town is dominated by Arundel Castle, which is as close to a fairytale castle as it gets. This 11th century castle was remodelled in the 18th and 19th centuries and now serves as a popular tourist attractions with displays that tell of the castle's exciting history. Arundel Cathedral is another big attraction. This magnificent landmark was built by Henry, the 15th Duke of Norfolk in the 15th century and continues to impress. Visitors will also love Arundel Park, a 1,200 acre site that features public footpaths and a pond inhabited by wildfowl. The park hires row boats to visitors so that they paddle around the lake. Arundel itself features many lovely Georgian and Victorian houses. This wonderful, history rich town is a great place to spend a peaceful holiday.
